I’ve used HomeAway to rent homes in St.Simon, Wrightsville Beach, Savannah, and London. In all cases, the homes met my expectations and when I’ve had to contact the owners, they were readily accessible and responsive. However, I have read numerous reviews of the site where the owners have kept the damage deposits for no good reason, cancelled after the agreed upon cancellation deadline, or deleted bad reviews to make their property look more appealing so use at your own risk.
